Easy Shredded Chicken

This is the EASIEST way to make shredded chicken from a boneless, skinless chicken breast. The old school way is to tear apart the chicken with forks, but try this and you will never go back! You do need a stand up mixer.

  • Boneless skinless chicken breast (I usually make about 2 at a time)
  1. Boil a pot full of water (make sure you have enough water to cover chicken)
  2. Cut any fat off of chicken
  3. Add chicken into water
  4. When water starts to boil again, put cover on, reduce heat to low, and heat for about 15 minutes or until chicken is cooked all the way through
  5. Drain chicken and water
  6. Place chicken in stand up mixer (use tongs as the chicken will be hot)
  7. Turn mixer up to speed 4 for about 30 seconds and watch as the chicken tears apart!
