Ingredients:
- 3 sticks butter
- 1 2/3 c. brown sugar
- 2 2/3 c. flour
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. cinnamon
- 1/3 c. honey
- 2 tbsp. heavy cream
- 2 1/2 c. pecans
- 2 tsp. vanilla extract
- Whipped cream (optional)
Directions:
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees
- Line a 9x13 brownie pan with foil and spray with cooking spray
- Beat 2 sticks of butter and 2/3 c. brown sugar together for 2 minutes
- Add together 2 2/3 c. flour, 1/2 tsp. salt, and 1/4 tsp. cinnamon
- Add the dry ingredients to the butter and sugar and mix fully
- Spread into pan and press down with hands until flattened evenly
- Bake for 20 minutes
- Put pecans in a large Ziploc bag and hit with a hammer until chopped, and set aside
- Meanwhile, melt the other stick of butter in a small sauce pan over medium low
- Add 1 c. brown sugar, the honey, and the cream
- Let simmer for 1 minute
- Stir in chopped pecans and vanilla extract
- When crust is done, pour filling into crust
- Bake for another 20 minutes
- Remove from oven and let cool completely
- Lift bars out of pan and cut
- Optional - top with whipped cream!
